The DC Area Independent Hi-Railers is organized for the purpose of operating various manufacturers’ O Scale model trains on detailed, transportable modules built to specific standards. We enjoy promoting the hobby to other model train enthusiasts, and providing entertainment to children and others who have an interest in seeing O Scale trains operating. We are affiliated with the Independent Hi-Railers and with other groups located in other areas.

Three mainlines with wide radius, super-elevated curves continuously operating trains
Hi-Rail modular construction using Gargraves phantom track
Scale length and size steam and diesel locomotives and cars
Detailed scenery and dioramas
Passing track with passenger station
Realistic locomotive sounds from selected steam and diesel engines
